Frequently asked questions

and answers to help you.

The 1st step

Please phone us to make an appointment

We invite you to make an appointment to chat to us about your kitchen. This takes place in our studio. We are an ever changing studio and are constantly bringing our clients new ideas via our beautiful displays. We prefer to operate an appointment system because your time with us is important and we believe that it should not be interrupted if at all possible.

We will chat through many aspects of your kitchen. We advise you on different designs that you may not have thought about and take you around our studio. We show you the fabulous design innovations we have here so you can feel the quality and see the benefits. This appointment takes about an hour.

What is the next stage?

We arrange a visit to your home to take measurements which will take no more than 1 hour. CAD images are then produced back at the studio and we will invite you back to see what we have created for you. Simple changes can be made at this appointment, more complex design changes will need longer.

If you are happy to proceed then a deposit is required to secure a fitter, release plans, pictures and take advantage of genuine offers.

Other questions you might have:

What is the average price of your kitchens?

Each kitchen is very different and this is a hard question to answer. However the average cost of our kitchens fully fitted is between £15,000 and £25,000 very much depending on your final choices.

How do you accept payment?

Payment can be made by major credit and debit cards, bank transfer and by cheque. We do not offer finance. We would not advise going down this route. There are cheaper ways to obtain the funds for a new kitchen.

Can we just buy appliances from you?

Yes. We sell built in appliances from Neff, Bosch and Siemens at very competitive prices and offer a free delivery service around Portishead and surrounding areas

Do you manage the whole project?

Yes we manage everything and liaise with all others professionals on your behalf.

How long does the installation take?

This will vary from project to project but on average it will take 2-3 weeks. This includes taking out your kitchen, plastering and fitting. Your choice of worktop will depend on the final length of time.

What are your kitchens carcasses made from?

All our carcasses are 18mm MFC made from Egger board and are either bespoke sizes or standard sizes depending on the range.

Do you charge for your design service?

Our initial design service is free of charge.  Plans and pictures are released on receipt of a deposit which is fully refundable against your kitchen purchase. This is in line with other reputable kitchen companies and designers.

Do you offer a full kitchen supply only service?

Yes we do. We always recommend that a qualified carpenter is used to fit your kitchen because it is a complex installation.

How far do you travel?

Our insulation team is based in North Somerset however we supply kitchens further afield if required.

Do you use your own employees or contractors?

Our team of self-employed tradesmen are all highly qualified in their field and we have used the same team of fitters, electricians, plumbers, tilers and plasterers since we opened.

Do you recycle our existing kitchen?

Yes our waste management company recycles everything for us. Many of our clients also choose to sell or give away their existing kitchen and we also have a list of people that we can call should we be able to recycle an item for you.

After your project?

With over 130 reviews on Which, Facebook, Google and our website we make sure our clients are always looked after long after they have engaged PK. We are always here to talk about any aspect of your project after the fit has taken place. We are well known for our excellent reputation and aftercare
